At the JEC World 2018

Even without an exhibitor booth, C3 Technologies enjoyed good visibility with 2 achievements displayed at the unmissable event of the composite, the JEC World.

This show dedicated to composite material industry gathered from March 6th to 8th a large proportion of stakeholders of this field at Paris-Villepinte. C3 Technologies’ representatives made the trip as visitors and our parts were in the spotlight thanks to two of our partners : Hexcel (Specialist in advanced composites technology) and Elixir Aircraft (start-up launching a full carbon and innovative leisure aircraft).

Hence on Hexcel’s booth we had a boat bowsprit (part facing high mechanical stress supporting anchor and a big foresail) all in prepreg carbon/epoxy. The young Elixir Aircraft was in the Planet Aero area, a space dedicated to innovation were they were invited to display the Elixir, a two-seater leisure aircraft. The parts of this full carbon aircraft have been -for its large majority- manufactured by C3 Technologies of which the “one-shot” box structure wing, a unique model.

Composite materials hold a great potential for growth as suggested by this show and are still reducing the weight of our structures !
